My Students

I teach an inspiring group of fourth graders who come from a variety of backgrounds and situations. It's important that the classroom feels like a comfortable and accommodating place for them to be learning throughout the day. My students are working on collaborating with one another, having academic conversations, and increasing their reading comprehension.

In this class, we are working to build a community of learning where each student plays a role in the learning process.

We are excited to continue working hard this school year.

My Project

All of my students have been through so much. When the pandemic began they were in 2nd grade, and now they are almost 5th graders. They are resilient and inspiring. The way they learn has changed and these items will help them continue to be successful. Whether it is flexible seating to make our classroom more comfortable, social-emotional learning books to help them regulate their emotions and learn new skills, technology tools to work online, incentive prizes for student positive behavior, snacks, classroom supplies that need a refresh--all of these items are going to enhance their learning and help them continue to power through this pandemic. Our classroom is also in need of some teacher tools to inspire, boost creativity (cricut design), and promote the overall organization in our learning space. We may take it slow at times, we may laugh and play games sometimes, we also work hard and grow every single day. This class is a family and I'm incredibly proud of them.
