Help me give my students a Qball throwable microphone and answer buzzers so their voices can be heard. Students will also be able to equally participate in class discussions and learning activities.
My school is full of a bunch of curious and active first-grade scholars. We are a Title I school where the majority of our students come from low economic backgrounds. Our students love to come to school each day. A full 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My first graders love participating in fun and engaging classroom activities.
They come to school each day wanting to try new things. This enables them to grow personally and academically. My students are definitely my inspiration.
My students are so kind and caring. My classroom has a focus on making everyone feel included and part of our classroom family. I empower my students to be problem solvers and good decision-makers.
My Project
I teach math to 60 first graders. The majority of my students are English language learners. Many of my students can be shy and do not speak loud enough to be heard by everyone in the class. I often need to repeat students' responses so everyone can hear what was said. This could be avoided by using the Qball microphone.
The Qball is a microphone that the teacher and students can toss to the person that is speaking allowing everyone to be able to be heard.
As I am teaching a lesson, I can toss the Qball to students to let them participate in the discussion. Students will start to build confidence because everyone in the room can hear them. I will not have to keep repeating what is said or ask them to speak louder.
The buzzers will also be a great tool when we are playing math games. This added technology will allow for increased participation and student engagement in our classroom.
