Power Up: Charged Chromebooks and Energetic Kindergarteners
Help me give my students a charging station that will help charge and organize our Chromebooks.
This project expired on March 3, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My Kindergarten students are caring, creative, and curious! They all love learning and being fully engaged in their activities.
Every day is an adventure.
We start each day ready to take chances and are learn new things socially and academically. We are the foundation of a school that celebrates full inclusion. My classroom is one of six kindergarten inclusion, English Language Learning classes.
My students love using the computers and have already begun to master basic skills. Some students have never used a computer before, but they will need to be prepared to use a variety of technological tools to engage in their world.
We have been lucky to get 12 Chromebooks for our classroom, but managing the wires and keeping Kindergarten fingers away has been tricky. Keeping the cords and Chromebooks organized also takes a lot of time, especially with limited electrical outlets. With the charging station, students will be able to access Chromebooks that are charged and organized.
If we are able to get this Chromebook station, not only will it help my students to be safe and organized, but they will also be able to use them more independently and efficiently.
Kindergarten is all about building solid routines and setting clear expectations. By having easier-to-access technology, students will be better able to develop those habits.
