This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! The school is located in a low socioeconomic area. Although my students face many challenges, they are always excited and eager to learn. Their perseverance and tenacity are what drive my passion as their teacher.

I'm always looking for innovative ways to teach my students and ways that I can encourage them to love school and instill a love for learning!

Students in my class have limited real-world​ experiences, and creating opportunities can have a lifelong impact on their education and their goals.

My Project

PowerMyLearning program materials would make a big difference in my students' learning. This program would help readers picture the lessons I teach and improve students' learning outcomes through learning by engaging them with their family. Students can go home and teach their family what they learned in school. The blended learning approach would increase educational equity and motivate students to succeed! Students learn the most when they have the opportunity to interact and teach what they have learned, transforming their learning to make learning a fun and engaging experience for them. Family engagement is critical to educational success!
