My Students

My classroom is a family of forty-seven third graders from diverse backgrounds who are excited about learning in fun and inspiring ways. I also have students with various learning challenges. Each day, my students come to school with smiles on their faces, eager to learn. I am extremely thankful to get to share my love of learning with them every day.

Our school celebrates leadership and empowers our students to be lifelong learners.

We incorporate group work, flexible seating, and multiple outlets to share our joy of learning. I am so blessed to work with these amazing students each day and am in awe of their growth through building trust and comfort in our "family."

My Project

Social Emotional Learning provides critical life skills that my students will carry with them through their school careers and beyond.

This program will empower my students to own their learning and will help strength the home and school connection.

Parent involvement is so important to student success. The PowerMyLearning Family Engagement Innovators program will also provide me essential professional development to maximize the effectiveness of this program. This program will transform the learning relationships between students, families, and teacher. It leverages family engagement to drive student mastery and social-emotional learning.
