My Students

My students love to walk into my classroom everyday and read my board, so they know exactly what we are doing for the day. They each have unique learning styles and enjoy learning hands-on. They enjoy reading and writing together as a team, and in a classroom where they feel safe. They are excellent helpers and each of them have specific jobs they love to help with everyday. Whether we are reading a book as a class, in pairs, in a group, or individually, we make it a priority to help one another, and to spread positivity.

My Project

I have seen as a teacher how effective the Post-it sheets are at teacher workshops. Having the Post-it sheets and markers would provide us the opportunity to have our students engage in an interactive activity.

This is also a great resource for us to incorporate in our classrooms to help our students visualize important vocabulary, key terms, and strategies.

In our portable classrooms we would be able to stick a Post-it sheet on some of the walls, provide the students with a marker, and have them complete a gallery walk or carousel walk around the classroom.

My students are visual learners and this would be a great way for them to study and remember the material. This would also allow the students to collaborate and work together.
