Post Hurricane: Full STEAM Ahead!

Help me give my students a heat press, nap mats, seeds, and soil for our classroom.

My Project

Being in a hurricane can be very frightening, and the days, weeks, and months following the storm can be very stressful. Some of my students lost everything. Some students had to stay in hotels for weeks due to roof damage. I would love to implement a STEM station in our class, our home away from home.

The requested STEM resources (gears, salt, and neon dimmable sign) will help enable me to create a fun and exciting STEM cart for my deserving students.

The STEM Station and supplies would provide the structure that my students have missed. My students also need new nap mats. A comfortable surface will help my students relax during nap time. Having this new STEM station will comfort them after the hurricane they experienced.

I am also requesting the Heatpress to make school t-shirts for my students. The unifying school t-shirts would unite us as we rebuild. I have also included some board games my students will use to work on their social skills. My students were out of class and missed interaction with their peers. These activities are important to building a sense of classroom community. Merry everything!
