Positively Great Rewards for Great Actions

Help me give my students rewards for good behavior, both academically and socially. We have weekly smaller drawings for prizes and quarterly large prize drawings.

My Students

My students are in grades 7 through 12. As the school counselor, I work with all the students. They are aged 12-18 learning the skills needed to graduate and be successful adults. They are great at drama, singing, sports, leadership, and academics. Some have anxiety or depression but I try to help them press on and do hard things. Rewarding their efforts makes them more willing to keep trying.

My Project

Students can earn badges of honor for good social and academic behavior. All staff and faculty can give badges to students for showing improvement or going above and beyond what is expected.

Students can earn a variety of rewards if their badge of honor is picked in our drawings.

We have weekly drawings for the students to earn small rewards. At the end of the quarter, we have a larger drawing for students who have not been picked yet. The items requested, such as cookies and crackers, will be used as rewards for the students.
