I work with a diverse group of students at an urban public high school in Oakland. Most of my students enjoy learning science but have not had good science and math experiences due to lack of quality science teachers and good resources.
When I do a simple laboratory like making butter, my students' faces light up.
I love it when my students are having fun but also learning from that experience. My goal is to create a great science learning experience through real-life applications.
My Project
M&M's Fun Size Variety Mix, 85.23 oz, Mars Mix Mini Chocolate Bars, 62.60 Oz, 205-Piece Bag (220-00016), and Wrigley Starburst Skittles Livesavers Family Favorites, 180 Pieces (01921) will serve as prizes for students during fun chemistry review games. The Kleenex and wipes will help prevent spreading germs.
Please help provide prizes for my students and also keep them healthy!
We play games like bingo and online quizzes during class throughout the year. These prizes will help the students feel motivated to play the games and learn the chemistry concepts. Students get very competitive when candy is involved. It's amazing to see the students work really hard when they know there are prizes!
