My Students
Our students love music. They are passionate about music and music-making. Music is what keeps them motivated to come to school. They excel in music, despite our school being situated in the midst of five federal housing projects.
Most, if not all, of our students come from homes of highest poverty.
Our school has at a 70% highly disadvantaged rate.
Beautiful music comes out of our orchestra room. Our students play with great passion. Music is what they excel at. Our students would never have been able to play in an orchestra were it not for the school orchestra program.
My Project
Our students need a DP-24SD 24-Track Digital Portastudio to be able to integrate and utilize technology in our classroom The DP-24SD 24-Track Digital Portastudio will be used to record original compositions and songs to send a message of education, awareness, and peace to help solve the issue of safety in our school community.
The DP-24SD 24-Track Digital Portastudio is a stand-alone recording device that will enable our student musicians to create and produce an album of original music promoting the issue of safety in our school community.
Music is a universal language. We will combine the winning combination of music and technology to use creativity and ingenuity to produce something positive.
