We have an outstanding group of students at BMS that have been resilient since the Hurricane Florence disaster. My students are excited to get back to their daily routines of class and exploring their learning.
One of our greatest assets is the tight-knit community of our school district.
The community has been bonded thanks to trauma from 2 disasters of Hurricane Matthew and Florence.
Our desire as a school is to provide our students the best possible learning environment to maximize their achievement.
My Project
The creation of bulletin boards with positive and motivational quotes will help shift the classroom culture to a dynamic learning environment where my students will be encouraged to give their best effort. I need 6 new boards, border trim, and lettering.
My plan is to utilize messages that inspire my students as well as focus on the growth mindset.
These bulletin boards will be decorated positive messages that encourage and inspire my students to make improvements. Too often my students arrive at school with negative attitudes and low self esteem. The goal in my classroom is to create an environment that pushes students to their academic limit and also rewards using positive character traits in the process. Learning is a focus but also creating a student that can make a positive impact in society.
