My Students

I have the cutest, most hard-working students ever! They are special education students and struggle more than most. They are especially struggling with social-emotional needs this year, as well as their academics. Support is critical to these students of mine.

My Project

I am requesting these materials so that I can provide my special education students with a calm, inviting classroom. I will be using it for supplies to help reinforcement positive behavior, increase my classroom library, and increase/support students understanding of the social and emotional abilities they have struggled with since COVID-19 has started. I have students who have had increased anxiety at school which makes it a struggle for them to make friends, come to school, and be able to engage in learning. Sometimes they get so upset they struggle to learn anything at all at those times. These supplies will be very helpful in helping students calm down, feel comfortable, and learn how to respond in times of increased anxiety and stress. This will help them better learn in all areas of schooling.
