This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I provide students from low socioeconomic backgrounds opportunities to explore the possibilities in reading, writing, science, and math. Real-world experience is a challenge for my student population, and I would like to expose them to on and off-campus experiences that will enhance their learning.

My school population is challenging due to students' academics backgrounds and behavior. It can be a challenge for any veteran teacher to enter this environment expecting immediate satisfaction.
My Project
Opening soon will be the incentive and reward store for the students who show positive behaviors throughout the school. Currently, our program is nonexistent and we are striving for ways to engage both the students and teachers in positive behaviors. These variety of items will be distributed based on points earned in our positive behavior program.
We are seeking a mindset change with the school community so by providing store with prizes for students to purchase using positive behavior points.
In the end we are hoping to reduce referrals and increase moral in difficult times such as this.
