This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students spend every day working together to make beautiful music! We are a rural school located in the low country of South Carolina. While at school, my students participate in marching band, concert band, region band, private lessons, drum line, and solo and ensemble competitions.
There are 70+ students involved in our band program!
These students work diligently to get better at their craft and truly enjoy making music. Can you help me provide materials for them to be the best ensemble we can be?
My Project
Our DonorsChoose.org project is all about increasing positive behavior in the band room! I would like to incorporate a wireless doorbell to be able to catch students' attention without having to raise my voice. Lesson ideas from Teachers Pay Teachers will give us thank you cards, rewards, and lesson plans to enhance the culture of our classroom. We are really excited about having clipboards, as there are no desks in the band room! Each of these items will help us with the management and behavior in our classroom.
