Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Even during post-pandemic we can still give a little choice in where students will work within the classroom all while being fully engaged, feeling emotionally safe, and having a "choice" of seating options. My science classroom is one and a half times as big as other classrooms and affords us this limited flexibility.

These collapsible small tables will help give students the freedom and flexibility to do schoolwork while providing a "choice" of seating!

Up to three students will be able to spread out in my room while giving some choice of where they will work. The tables are big enough for a Chromebook, mousepad, and paper/ area to write and do schoolwork. Students will be able to work in the hallway for even more space and quiet learning! Finally, students with special education needs will have these tables as options for "alternative seating."
