My students are an eager group of learners and their learning abilities range from struggling reader to AIG identified. I want them to reach their maximum potential in my classroom. Most of them are from low socioeconomic families and come in hungry or sleepy, while others come from middle class families and enter my classroom eager and ready to learn!
Flexible seating in my room allows each of them to find a learning space that allows them to focus on their learning goals and ultimately prepare for their future!
We are a family of individual learning styles and personalities. In our flexible learning environment, each student has an equal opportunity to tap into their individual learning styles and strive for a successful future.
My Project
The requested materials will help my students choose the perfect place to learn and grow for them. My classroom is a place where I want students to do their best learning in a spot they are comfortable in. In my current classroom we have wobble stools, floor pillows and ball chairs. While these items are amazing, I want something that students can recline in while sitting in the floor and the stadium seats will be great for that!
Not only do I allow students the flexible seating options, I am a true believer in a blended classroom.
The Surf Laptop desk will allow students to continue to choose their favorite learning spot and safely use the Chromebooks to complete their assignments.
We have regular clipboards that students use on a daily basis but they are well loved and missing parts. The dry erase clipboards and erasers will be a great tool for students when they need to brainstorm ideas and continue working on paper activities.
All of these supplies will provide students with more choices when selecting their learning spot and keep our technology safe at the same time.
