My students are some of the hardest workers I have ever seen. I have the great privilege of working in an elementary resource environment. This kids are amazing and deserve to have a place to keep their work and supplies. This past year these students showed the greatest amount of growth in the entire state of Utah!
Since we are not a traditional classroom, my students have no place to call their own.
We work in small groups and students are constantly coming in and out of the room and it has been hard for them to keep their supplies and work in an orderly manner. They are in need of a system to gather and keep their things for faster transitions and fewer items being lost.
With the stress of not knowing where there have been placed, they will better be able to focus on the task at hand, learning. We will be able to get into lessons faster and that will allow us to cover more material in a day. This will aid them in closing the gap in a more efficient manner. They will also be able to better learn how to take responsibility and control of their education and outcomes. This will be done by turning over the responsibility of their things to them and allowing them to come better prepared to groups ready to learn.
