My students need a portable dry erase board for small group instruction to help improve reading skills that they are behind with.

My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds including multiple ethnicities, skill levels, and homes. My school is severely under funded which results in my students often receiving the short end of the stick when it comes to their education. Students come from an urban setting where 90% of them are on free or reduced lunch. Many need extra support both in and out of the classroom. With that being said my students have amazing hearts and care deeply for those around them.

My Project

Students in my 7th grade classes are often all performing at different levels instruction-ally and therefore are working in smaller groups and stations to work on individual skills. While I have a large whiteboard and projector in the front of my room it is only helpful for full class instruction.

I work with many small groups during my classes and would like to have a portable easel to provide better instruction when working on individual skills.

With the portable easel, I will be able to come to my students instead of them constantly having to come to the front of the room. I will also be able to provide a less distracting environment when working on a specific skills that other students in the class may not be working on during that station day.
