My Project

As part of being the districts high school cheering coach, I want to provide as many opportunities for my high school student athletes. Having said that, I want my athletes to be able to show off their hard work and dedication. My cheerleaders practice and perfect their stunting technique each week during practices, along side while practicing their crowd cheers and chants.

When we get to cheer at basketball games, my cheerleaders are unable to show off their learned stunting skills.

This is in part because our designated area for cheerleaders is not very big. The size of a big cheerleading mat would not be able to fit where we stand. Secondly, we share our basketball court with the cities professional basketball team. Having said that, our practice mats stay at our school, while we play games at a separate location.

I would love to provide my team a portable cheer mat so they are able to showcase their new stunting skills at our home basketball games. This small scale cheering mat will be able to fit in our area so my team could safely stunt at games. Showing off their skills will not only boost their confidence, it will raise respect for the cheering team from their student peers.
