My Project

Our school building is the true melting pot of America. We have students from refugee camps all around the world who speak a multitude of languages. In addition to learning the English Language and the American Culture, as part of Ohio graduation requirements, students are required to take an additional language course with the most chosen course being Spanish. And our students have THRIVED.

In an effort to continue to support their learning, we are working to develop a Spanish Language collection of popular young adult fiction for our students to check out and practice their Spanish literacy skills.

Our students have excelled in their language learning and have checked out and read the Spanish books I have accidentally ordered and are thirsting for more. This project would be just a start to create a dedicated Spanish section for our library,
