This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are so excited about learning. They are so energetic and curious just about everything. Every day is like an adventure in our classroom. I teach at a Title I school where the students receive 100% free breakfast and lunch.
I have students who learn best when they are actively involved as they play, explore, experiment, discover, and create.
I actively engage my students thinking processes and encourage them to use their questioning, investigating, and problem-solving skills to help them learn.
My Project
Field trips can provide learning opportunities and hands-on experiences outside the classroom. They can also increase students knowledge, cultures and build cognitive, social and emotional structures that can help our students with cultural diversity and supporting their desires to consume information from their surroundings.
We are limited to only one funded field trip per school year based on the lack of funding.
If we want to go on more then one field trip, then the cost would fall on the school, teachers and/or parents to pay for the buses and the cost of admissions for the students, teachers and any other chaperones. So, getting a popcorn and cotton candy machine would be a great way to raise funds to help pay for the buses and admission for all! Can you imagine the excitement the students will feel, when getting on a bus to go on a field trip! They can see that learning is even more fun when they venture outside the classrooms and get to explore and ask questions in their community.
