This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are little seedlings ready to be watered. Every year the excitement grows more and more to see their little faces ready and eager to learn. However, we are a small school and lack the funding for additional resources for our preschool classes. Our school is located in the rural Mississippi Delta. We are a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free lunches. In order for them to compete with the best of the best and be provided the same opportunities as the rest we need the help to provide them with the needed resources. We want to give our students the best head start we can and you can help.
My Project
We are looking for donations for school supplies and other daily essentials like folders, pencils, markers, crayons, sanitizer, Lysol wipes and paper towels that will get the school year popping off to a great start. This project will allow us to supply the students with the needed materials so their focus and can be on learning and growing.
Many of our students come from low-income and poverty-stricken households, and parents are unable to provide the needed materials and supplies when the school year begins.
We don't want this to be an issue and want to make the transition into the school year as smooth as possible. Funding this project will do just that!
