My classroom is an inclusion special education room with students with disabilities. My classroom has 20 students with a variety of disabilities. Some of my students are English Learners (ELs) who speak Mandarin and Spanish. Their English Language Development (ELD) levels range from 2-4. We are civic-minded; the 6th grade is a vibrant group who are raising money for Breast Cancer this month.
My school is a Title I school in an urban neighborhood.
Most students qualify for free lunch. During this historic return after the COVID-19 pandemic, our students need social and emotional support.
My Project
These materials will make a huge difference in my students' learning by providing an interactive, hands-on approach to addition, subtraction, and multiplication. The pop its will allow students to remain on task and engaged while completing grade-level rigorous tasks.

Our students love math and love pop its, by combining these two they will be able to grow as learners and mathematicians. With many different learning styles in our classroom, the manipulatives will make the perfect addition!
