Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am an elementary and primary Computer Technology teacher in a Title One, low-income district with more than sixty percent on free or reduced-price lunch. Our students are a very diverse and unique group of kindergartners through sixth graders. Each has a variety of strengths and needs as twenty-five percent of our students require specially designed instruction. All of these children are very special and unique in their own way.

Our district is currently Virtually Learning and we need resources to help our students learn at home.

My Project

Help us enhance our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math program with a BrainPOP Jr subscription. This app will be incredibly helpful to bring virtual learning to life!

A BrainPOP Jr subscription would give all my students an opportunity to engage with our electronic devices and be actively involved in learning new topics.

I'll be able to use BrainPOP to introduce a new unit and then follow it up with hands-on projects. Topics will be brought to life by the BrainPOP characters and my students will be excited for a different type of learning. I'll be able to immediately assess student learning with the quizzes.
