My Students

The months of August and September have been a busy ones for my students. They have been discussing and planning ways they can slow down the ever growing pollution problem in our classroom, school, and community.

My students are average to high average achieving students, who love science.

Each day they are involved in a school wide recycling program they initiated the first week of school. We are at a public school in suburban setting, just outside our capital city. Our school serves more than 600 students, who come from various socioeconomic backgrounds.

My Project

Our request for the items requested would allow me to provide my students with the means to further investigate the causes of pollution in our state. The water and soil testing kits will allow them to see firsthand how air and water pollution is affecting our immediate environment. Even at this young age, students must experience the problem in order to later find solutions to help lessen the effects of this problem.

Your donations to our project help open the eye of our young people to the problems around us.

Also, it will allow them to internalize these problems and maybe someday they can find creative solutions to solve the problems that plague our environment.
