My Project

I love that my students are enthusiastic learners. They are connected to nature. We have binoculars, a telescope, and a birding book. We eat snacks twice a day on our patio so we would enjoy these plants daily. We do have some pollinator-friendly plants already. The students are mesmerized by the birds, bees, and butterflies that visit us. We will also add worm boxes shortly. Watching our jack-o'-lanterns decompose has been so interesting for my students.

Part of our curriculum focuses on food production.

We have taken a field trip to a dairy and we have visited an agricultural event at the local Fairgrounds. Without our friendly pollinators, much of our food would not be available.
