I love my students because they always try and are willing to share. My students are very diverse yet, open minded and engaging. The students have started a worm garden in the classroom and they would like to build a pollinator garden this spring on the playground. STEM is to be a big part of this project. Science we are studying what are the best plants to attract pollinators. We are also reviewing invasive species. Technology will include creating data and graphs to analyze growth. Engineering to design proper garden size and structure. Math skill will be practiced each step.
My Project
My class is excited about STEM Projects and we are taking part in the Green Earth classroom projects. The third grade class at Merrill Park has decided to build a pollinator garden on the playground. We have already started a worm garden in the classroom to put into the pollinator garden. We believe this pollinator garden will help our environment by producing more pollinators to support bees.
This pollinator garden will support STEM and give the students hands on training.
The students are so excited for this exciting project and desperately need these supplies to begin our work ready for spring.
