My Students

My students are engaged individuals that are hungry for knowledge in the area of government and politics. The young people that take my AP US Government and Politics class yearn for understanding in the areas of politics, government, and social structure and use primary source material from court cases, scholars, Presidents, and influential individuals throughout US history to build that understanding.

My students love politics so much that they don't just want to study it; they want to do it!

My Project

My students love politics and want to learn all they can as they begin to participate in our nation's political system! We need resources that will provide them with a great foundation in their political socialization and will structure their curriculum in a way that will be most effective in building that foundation.

We don't teach what to think; we teach how to think.

For this method to be effective, we must start at the beginning, looking at the founding documents of the United States and working our way through different philosophies of how our government should function. These different viewpoints are critical for students to observe as they develop their own theories about what type of government works best for protecting and providing for citizens.

In order for students to have all their required documents and case studies in one place, we need to use this resource. It provides everything we need for students to have success in the class as well as on the AP test in May.
