My Students

My students are engaged individuals that are hungry for knowledge in the area of government and politics. The young people that take my AP US Government and Politics class yearn for understanding in the areas of politics, government, and social structure and use primary source material from court cases, scholars, Presidents, and influential individuals throughout US history to build that understanding.

My students love politics so much that they don't just want to study it; they want to do it!

My Project

My students will use these readers to gain a better, functional understanding of how court cases, Presidents, philosophers, and other influential individuals have molded and shaped our political and governmental systems throughout the course of American history. We use these readers daily to read primary source material, break that material down, and discuss the material as a supplement to our other content. It heightens discussions and provides much greater insight into the topics we discuss in class each day.

My students need to be able to reference speeches, court decisions, and scholarly articles in one compact, easy-to-access place: their reader!
