My Students

My classroom of first graders is in a urban area, in a district striving to make a lot of positive changes. My classroom is a fun place for exploration, learning and growth. My students spend the year learning how to read, and finding a true love for books. In addition they are developing a love for the basics in math, through manipulatives and exploring. They take pride in their efforts and are willing to take a challenge to further their learning.

My Project

Our classroom sizes leave a little to be desired. With 27 students and their desks there is not a lot of spare room for storage.

These chair pockets will help my first graders have more organization with their school supplies.

First graders are not necessarily organized on their own, so these chair pockets will help with that organization. The more organized the better the learning environment will be for these students.

In addition I am sure I will not only be able to use these for the students this year but for many more years to come. Please be kind and donate to this project and help my classroom!
