Each one of my students is creative and compassionate in their own way. As you get to know them throughout the year, you find their strengths and weaknesses.
Learning in the classroom is different for every student.
Each student needs to be able to feel comfortable within the learning environment. Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My students come to school with a smile on their face and willingness to learn. It's always exciting to hear stories from their weekend adventures to start a new week of learning.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." Using pocket charts in the classroom is an organized way to allow students to view spelling words, memory words, and Vocabulary words that go along with are weekly stories throughout the day.
Allowing students to have access to view what they are learning gives them the opportunity to study when they are finished with an assignment.
This teaches them to be responsible and learn on their own.
The books that I am requesting will enhance my classroom library and give the students new reading material to read in class. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. They love to listen to me read to them also. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
