Help me give my students headsets and computer mice so that we can make the most of remote learning technology.

My first graders have show SO much patience, determination, and optimism during this year of remote instruction and constant changes and unknowns. Learning from home and staying engaged have been challenging because we are learning so many new things at once - foundational reading and math skills and character development virtually, as well as tech literacy and independence!
Solving problems is just one of the many parts of our day!
Our class has been working hard all year to adjust and persevere in remote learning using district-issued iPads. Despite technology challenges, we have grown and learned a lot. Now students are getting the chance to utilize computers from our district! Because they are new to personal laptops in first grade; headsets and computer mice will help them to focus on learning and navigate the new devices.
Because we do not know when full time in-person instruction will resume for everyone in our class, my students need to be prepared to use their new devices efficiently at home or at school - mice and headsets will help them to be ready for any transition!
Many students have siblings and other sounds in the background during the day, so it can be hard to hear them and makes participation a challenge. Headsets will help give each student more opportunities to engage with their peers, as well as hear sound from their device directly. Little fingers also need to adjust to new devices and manipulate the websites and platforms we use for learning, small groups, and intervention. Computer mice will give students the opportunity to navigate their screens and websites more efficiently as they persevere through this year and continue to grow through a new way of learning.
