My Students

When my students walk in the door each morning they are ready to learn and are excited for what is in store for them that day. They are growing and learning and have wild imaginations. My students love to move and love to read. Some of my students are experiencing school for the first time as kindergarteners. Others have had a bit of exposure through daycares or preschools. Either way, they are excited to begin their first year as official students at an elementary school.

My Project

My students will use the cd player with Bluetooth and headphones to listen to a variety of stories. This introduction to different types of literature will help them as they develop their reading skills. They will be able to follow the words as they are read to them with the book and cd sets that we are requesting. The Bluetooth capabilities will give us access to a lot of other stories that are read aloud to the students on different types of media. This will allow them to hear stories from a variation of speakers as well.

The individual headphones will allow my students to focus better on the story because the noise from other activities in the room will be canceled out.

This will also allow them to adjust the volume to their individual preference. My students love to listen to stories, so this will give them more opportunities to hear and interact with literature.
