My Students

I teach a group of very active, funny, dramatic, and creative fifth graders. I have 55 students go through my classroom every day as the math teacher.

My students are the most creative, energetic, and fun group of people to be around.

All of my students are at a variety of learning levels and learning styles. I am in the process of making my classroom an alternate seating classroom so my students can choose their seating preference. I believe that students learn best when they are comfortable and enjoy the space around them.

My Project

The chairs and desks in my project will do a lot to help my students focus on their daily learning. Not only does it allow my students to choose what seat works best for them but it also gives them the ability to move while learning, which I feel helps most students.

Students in 5th grade are already figuring out how they learn best and having an alternate seating classroom allows them to make choices that work best for their learning as well as be comfortable in the environment they spend the majority of their day in.
