Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are all very special and unique. They live in a high poverty neighborhood but that does not define them!! We are a Title One school where the majority of the kids get free and reduced lunch. Many of them speak Spanish in their homes and are learning English for the first time. They come to school every day with big smiles and an open heart and mind. They come ready to learn! It is amazing to see them grow!
My Project
My kids come to me full of energy and excitement. I would like them to choose which seat will help them learn best! I will give them many options to choose from. First I will teach reading, writing and math. Once I teach the lesson, they choose a specific seat for how they can best complete the assignment! I believe there will be less disruptions and more learning! The wobble chairs will enable them to move around without disruption and the stability balls will do the same. When I add the rubber bands to the chairs everyone will have a choice! Let’s get started!
