Help me give my students a fun and flexible option for sitting in the classroom. These bright and colorful seats will hopefully provide my students with this option!
My students are an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING group of third graders! In the few short weeks that school has been back in session from summer break, they have shown that they truly LOVE school and they enjoy learning new things. My students vary in their academic abilities, from special needs to gifted learners, and their socioeconomic backgrounds range from low-income to middle-income households. However, the one thing that they ALL have in common is the excitement and the enthusiasm that these fun-loving cherubs bring to the classroom each and every day!
In our classroom we have a family atmosphere, which involves taking care of one other and treating each other with respect, compassion, and kindness.
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies in our classroom. We work in pairs, we do group work, and we use a variety of seating arrangements and alternative learning options to meet all of the students' needs and abilities, as well as keep their interest in learning. Research shows that differentiated instruction can have a major impact on how students learn, and by having these flexible seats added to our classroom, this will help us tremendously.
My Project
By donating to my project, you will give my students a fun and flexible seating option when it comes to learning. These chairs will have a variety of uses in our classroom, from silent reading when students just want to grab a book from the classroom library and read alone to fun seating options when we work in pairs or in groups on class assignments.
These bright, colorful chairs will add so much personality to our classroom and the students will absolutely love using them to sit in and read a book.
