My Students

Do you remember ever getting hurt and not being able to do anything about it?

I teach 22 first graders in a Title 1 school in Pennsylvania.

My school is located in a high crime and high poverty area. All of the students at my school receive free breakfast and free lunch. Many of my students come from homes where English is not the spoken language.

My Project

I am hoping to get materials to help my students stay healthy and happy. We only have a nurse at my school 2 days a week. Therefore, in addition to being a teacher and a 2nd mom to my students, I also have to be their caregiver. In the past, if my students have gotten injured I send them to get washed and cover their boo boo with a tissue. I am hoping to be able to better take care of my students by helping them to clean off the injury and by covering it with a bandaid.

Please help me keep my students healthy and happy.

I want them to be able to cover up any injuries that they might get. It would be great to be able to give my students a bandaid and make them feel better if they need one. Please help me to keep my students safe, healthy and must of all happy.
