Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from different backgrounds and ethnicities. Our school is located in one of the diverse areas of Los Angeles.
The students' socioeconomic backgrounds range from well-to-do families to foster kids.
In the classroom, one can hardly tell who is who, except when it comes to who has what and who doesn't. I'm referring to supplies that students may bring from home, such as electronic devices that can be used in the classroom to complete certain projects and other tasks.
My Project
My piano lab this year has a new and bigger room, but with fewer electric wall outlets. We need multiple extension cords and tape to connect the keyboard stations.
Also for the safety of our students, I need to cover all the electric cables running on the floor with special cable covering pads.
This will ensure the safety of our students as they walk over these wirings, as well as the safety of our equipment.
Currently, we have forty keyboard stations that serve about one hundred twenty students every day. Ensuring student safety and the safety of the equipment they use is a priority.
