This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing and really want to learn as much as we are wanting to teach them! My students are around 11 and 12 years old, most are from Latin America and receive free lunch. Our school is huge. We have over 1,000 students, and we lack all major resources. We go from Pre-K to 8th grade, with mono- and bilingual classes. Lastly, we are in the fourth largest city in our state. Thank you for reading about my students!

My Project

We are setting up a donation room where we can collect items for our school community members who are in need. We want to be able to wash everything, so we are handing out clean items to people.

In addition, we want to use the room to help students who are in need do laundry and teach them these skills they one day will need to know.

Today, I am requesting laundry bags for our school. Laundry bags are so basic and everyone has one, but we lack these basic items. I hope with your help, we can have just the basics! Thank you so much
