Reading A-Z books are awesome, but they have to be printed from the Internet and photocopied at school. We need a way to organize our master copies of the Reading A-Z books, so students can easily access the books they want to read.
My students attend an urban middle school in Indiana.
More than 60% percent of my students qualify for free and/or reduced lunch. Many of my students struggle with nonfiction reading, so we work with Reading A-Z books to help them gain confidence and experience with nonfiction reading at their reading levels.
My Project
Reading A-Z books are fabulous tools to help all students, especially the struggling readers in my class. The books have to be printed and then photocopied, though, so organizing them is a challenge. Students need an organized system that will allow them to grab the plastic sheet protector filled with a paper book and move on to reading. The binders and sheet protectors will help me organize the Reading A-Z books for my students, giving them independence and allowing them the opportunity to grab a book whenever they want/need.
Your donation to this project will help me organize the Reading A-Z books for my students and will give my students easier access to the Reading A-Z books that are so important to our nonfiction reading curriculum.
