My Students

My students come from a rural, farming community. They love coming to school and are very motivated to do well. Their families are very supportive of their learning and their growth. Because we are in a rural area, technology is very important for them to access. They started using this program as a supplement to our math curriculum and they absolutely love it! They love accessing higher level math and science activities both at home and school. This program shares the results of students successes with both the parents and myself, strengthening the home and school connection.

My Project

My students used IXL for one month and I was so happy with the results. They were motivated to used it on their own both at home and school. It was easy to choose activities that were at their just right level and it kept their parents and myself informed of their success.

Our students will grow and excel in math by accessing this program at both home and school.

I can assign it as homework because most of them have internet access at school and home. This will give them the additional practice they need to be successful or the enrichment they need to stay motivated in school. I love this program! It teaches students when they make a mistake and makes it easy for me to track the results. One of my students just came in to tell me how excited she was that her mom got a note from IXL telling her about her success on a math activity she had done. She was so happy!
