My Students

Do you remember ever having all of your materials in your desk disorganized? My students are just beginning to learn how to organize their materials.

I teach 22 first graders in a Title 1 school located in a high poverty and high crime area in Pennsylvania.

All of my students receive free breakfast and free lunch. At the present time only a small percentage of my students are at the proper reading and math level. Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken.

My Project

I am requesting 15 seat pockets so that my students have a place to put and organize their materials. My students sit at tables and have no place to put their supplies and books. I want my students to learn how to keep their books, pencils and other materials together in an orderly fashion. I want them to waste as little time as possible in finding their materials.
