Our school is made up of a diverse community. Students here come from many different places from within and out of the United States. They all have had unique life experiences. For many of my students this is their first school experience. Kindergarten students are awesome and active learners. They are so eager to learn new things and experience new lessons.
The excitement my students bring into the classroom daily is evident as well as their love for learning.
Because of their enthusiasm, I try to provide as many memorable learning experiences as I can. I have found with my young learners that more learning takes place when they are excited and engaged in the lessons. I want to foster a love of learning in my class by providing materials that engage their minds.
My students need Lakeshore Learning math skill building centers to explore important math concepts using engaging activities that they can complete on their own to reinforce concepts taught in class.
My young learners need hands on materials to reinforce concepts taught and these kits will allow them to do that independently.
Each center includes 15 different mats that focus on the foundational math skills that are taught in kindergarten. Students choose an activity and the manipulatives and then follow the step-by-step directions to complete the activity. Each center contains an answer key so they can check their own work.
These centers will provide valuable activities to help my students become mathematicians in a fun and engaging way.
