Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students in my class come with a wide range of abilities, interests, and needs. In our integrated classroom, we have respect and understanding that each individual is different, yet equally important.
My students understand that in our class, everyone gets what they need to be successful.
One common goal we all share is motivation for learning in a fun, comfortable, and engaging classroom environment. With this, we are able to meet the needs of all the different learners at the same time.
My Project
I am posting this project and requesting a laptop computer. As a special education teacher in an ICT classroom, a computer to me is super important. It is necessary for use when writing daily lesson plans, searching for projects and worksheets, and typing goals for my students.
Computers help with my own research, lesson plans, and most important, writing Individualized Education Programs for my special education teachers.
It is important for me to have a laptop computer for the convenience of productivity in and out of the classroom. We recently received new Promethean boards and my current laptop is no longer compatible with the new board. A compatible laptop is essential to my teaching and for student learning!
In addition, as a special education teacher, I have to write IEP's for all my special education students. A laptop computer is essential because it is portable and easy to carry. It is impossible to complete IEP's during the duration of a school day, therefore, it is important to have a laptop to bring back and forth wherever and whenever necessary.
