Help me give my students highlighters, pencils, markers, and correction pens to allow them to focus on instruction instead of if they have the correct supplies.
First and foremost, my classroom is filled with amazing students from all backgrounds and ethnicities. Because of that, I enjoy teaching where I do!
Math does not come easy for every student and as the teacher, I need many different ways of trying to reach all of my students.
My students are always ready to learn and discover new things. I know that my students learn better when they are doing hands-on projects and activities. Unfortunately, funding for the necessary supplemental supplies is limited. That is why receiving all of these materials would be awesome!
My Project
My students will use their highlighters, pencils, and markers every day this school year. I believe that doing engaging activities will increase what the students will learn. We use a lot of highlighters when working out different mathematical steps or taking notes during instruction. These interactive notes engage the students in what they are learning each week and allow them to use it as a reflection of what they have already learned. Being able to highlight steps with different colors allow students to see all of the steps clearer than if completed with just one color ink or pencil.
Having the highlighters, pencils, markers, and green correction pens donated to our classroom will allow us to continue to do our work every day.
