This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A second grade teacher has 26 brilliant students. She has great math lessons to teach her students, but she does not have any materials. How can she provide an effective math classroom environment if she does not have any materials? This is the dilemma I have been facing all year. I have a great group of students eager to learn, but I have very limited resources to deliver the information. We can only rely on the simplified textbook and a pencil. I know that my math instruction could be much more effective for my students if they could see how these math concepts play out in real life. My students have the potential to be math experts they just need the right tools. Help me provide my students with math activity books and learning kits so that they can become the math super stars they are ready to be.
