PLEASE Help Revamp our Simulated Apartment Classroom!
Help me give my students an updated, functional apartment setting where they can learn the LIFE SKILLS needed after completing their high school program.

These are all words that describe my incredible 19 students, ages 14-21.
As they finish up their high school education, the main focus of their program is on their school-to-work program, community based instruction, and learning life skills. For this project, I would love to add resources and materials to their “apartment” classroom. The apartment is a classroom within the school where the students learn to cook, clean, and do laundry. These are extremely important skills for the students to develop before graduating!
My Project
Our students use the apartment classroom daily to run a coffee program; learn to cook a variety of meals, snacks, and desserts; clean; and wash uniforms for different school sports teams. It is a great learning environment for a variety of skills that they will need after completing school.
Our classroom is in need of an overhaul!
Our classroom was designed many years ago. Our cabinets need to be replaced as do our counter tops. We have a regular size refrigerator but are in need of a second one or a larger one. I would love to also add a microwave, blender, new pots and pans (the few we have were leftovers from when we had home economics classes), and utensils.
