As you all know this past fall we were hit with Super Storm Sandy. Well the water came through our school and left nothing untouched, including our science lab. If items were not destroyed, they were contaminated. I am hoping that when we return we are able to have our complete lab back!
I teach 7th and 8th grade science at our Pre-K to 8th grade school.
Our school is part of an awesome community, that has lost so much. The materials that are kept in my classroom/lab are not just for my students but all the students and teachers at our school. They enjoy using the science equipment to explore and have a hands on experience to their learning.
My Project
Currently our school is temporarily located at 4 separate locations while they repair the damage from the storm. I am hoping that when we return our classroom/lab it is ready to go. I am hoping to be able to replace the items that were lost due to the storm so we can have our hands on experience to science! I am hoping that our lab is a place where my students are excited to learn about science!
Please help to restore our classroom/lab.
So it is better than they remember! Donating to my project will help to bring science from their notebooks to them learning through doing. I thank you in advance for your support!
