My Students

Third grade is a huge transition year! Students are learning how to become independent and self sufficient learners, while still needing an appropriate amount of scaffolding.

I am invested in making my students' experience a safe one during this pandemic, by using individualized supplies and materials.

As I embark on my 21st year of teaching, I am exploring new ways to deliver education in a safe environment.

My students are excited to be in person this year and be a part of the "new normal" of school. I hope to be able to provide them with some additional resources, making sure all my students have what they need, not just ones that are economically advantaged.

My Project

We are still fighting a pandemic, and trying to keep children safe while learning. In my class students are accustomed to sharing supplies. Items like personalized dry erase boards and clipboards that are normally shared, will not be able to be used unless I have enough for each student.

With the concern of COVID, sharing supplies is not an option and there are not enough supplies for every student to have their own.

I am also trying to limit the amount of students playing together at recess, so they can remain socially distant, but I don't have enough recess supplies for the small groupings.

Staying safe is a top priority for me and my students. Thank you for considering this project.
