Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am teaching 4th grade this year, and my students are amazing and work so hard! My students are energetic, inquisitive, and love their school! They thrive in a learning environment that encourages them to take risks, try new things, and work through mistakes and failures. Many come from diverse backgrounds and homes that often do not afford the opportunity to experience the world outside of their own neighborhood. School offers them a gateway to the world beyond the neighborhood and the walls of the classroom.
My Project
Students do so much better when they have individual headphones to use during reading time, math centers and testing. When they are able to each have a pair of headphones, they are able to concentrate and not be distracted by other computers around them.
Right now, students have to bring headphones from home, which may be difficult for some of my students.
I would love to be able give each student a pair of their own for the year. Thank you for you help in funding headphones for my students!
